Functional Analyst

The Functional Analyst has the overall responsibility for the quality of work completed within the assigned Application Portfolio. This position provides production support for the JDE Human Resources (HR) and Asset Management (AM) applications.

JD Edwards professionals design, implement and deploy solutions using JD Edwards products to achieve defined business goals. They maintain skills in JD Edwards applications process design and configuration; JD Edwards application design, development, integration, testing and deployment; and JD Edwards application technical architecture.

A Functional understanding of the JDE application and where it is applied in the business.  He/She serves as the key conduit of the functional/business and the technical knowledge into the JDE development and interfaced external system teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform impact analysis on incoming service/support requests, specific to complexity & estimate drivers
• Create functional / operational design specifications for support work and support the business analysts in their project work
• Create detailed test plans and execute functional tests
• Provide production support for JDE super users and end users
• Activities include problem analysis, break / fix, testing, and promotion to the prototype environment.

Core Skills:

• 3+ years relevant experience as a JD Edwards HR functional analyst
• Client engagement / communication skills
• Work delivery management skills, ability to prioritize and respond to quickly changing requirements
• Knowledge of energy industry - will be trained on Western Canada Oil and Gas Industry
