Our client is an international engineering and manufacturing company. They are currently searching for an Intermediate HS&E Coordinator for their Camrose, AB facility. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate and conduct Health & Safety projects; workplace inspections, safety training, employee/contractor orientation, industrial hygiene monitoring including noise, risk assessment, job hazard analysis and audiometric programs.
- Assist/participate with implementation and maintenance of the ASA and IIF programs and the Company's HSE Management System.
- Implement environmental programs, such as: emergency response, hazardous waste management, storm water discharge, spill response and air emission management.
- Conduct regular audits of facilities for regulatory compliance and conformance to HSE Management system.
- Conduct incident investigation for high potential events.
- Identify needs, research legislative requirements and prepare documentation of procedures, practices and work standards.
- Conduct on-going training for employees and plant management.
- Ability to travel within Canada is required, and on occasion, international travel.
Core Skills Required: - 3 - 5 years of directly-related health & safety experience.
- OH&S coursework is required in the areas of risk management, behavior-based safety & Train-the-trainer from a recognized institution.
- The completion of a minimum of 7 courses in: Introduction to H&S, H&S Legislation & Policy, Safety Hazard Recognition, Evaluation & Control, Basic Train the Trainer, Fundamentals of Auditing, Fundamentals of Risk Management & Communications, Incident Investigation, and Behavior-based Safety
- Good computer skills; and an ability to work some shift work is required for this position.
