Our client, a National Leader in their respective industry is looking to have a forward thinking, dynamic leader join their Organization as an IT Security Manager. This position is located in the GTA, in Ontario. Key Responsibilities: - Lead in the design, development, implementation and support of the Network and Security Infrastructure.
- Responsible for the IT Security within the company ensuring that the appropriate 'best practice processes, policies, systems, and awareness is in place to manage and minimize risk.
- Lead and/or participate with others in the performance of in-depth analysis and evaluations of existing and emerging hardware and software technology. Assess the current and future applicability of such technology to the business. Evaluate alternatives, provide financial analysis, and develop appropriate short term and long term strategic recommendations.
- Primary contact to internal Business Units for IT related investigations.
- Act as expert lead in IT Security Incident handling.
Core Skills: - In-Depth knowledge of IT Security best practice frameworks, systems, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Excellent experience with Incident Handling and Investigation.
- Solid knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Applications, and related access control techniques.
- Experience with at least 2 of the following: Access Control Systems and Methodology - Telecommunications and Network Security - Security Management Practices - Security Architecture and Models - Security, Investigations, and Ethics - Application and Systems Development Security - Encryption - Computer Operations Security - Physical Security.
- 5-8 Years of technical hands-on, operations IT Security and Network Management experience.
- CCNP, CISSP designations are preferred.
- Proficient with Cisco equipment.
- Proficient with RCP/IP, DNS, and DCHP
- Proficient with Various VPN Technologies such as, CITRIX, RSA, SSL, and IPSEC.
