Currently we have an opportunity with our Client for a Lead Coordination role that will be responsible to adopt and manage the overall workings a Pipe Desk. The key elements of this position will be to oversee the day-to-day functionality of the Desk, work with stakeholders to gather and analyze Tubular Goods demand, forecast purchases, implementation and optimization of our inventory strategy, expand the service portfolio, as well as refine processes and mechanisms for delivery with a goal to achieving absolute lowest cost. Reporting to the Group Lead, Pipe & Capital Equipment the Lead Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service to our Clients' internal / external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - ability to develop and generate regular reports that reflect a statistical understanding of the relative efficiency of the services they are providing to the company and be in a position to articulate commodity trends in the steel industry and their impacts
- a comprehensive understanding of the steel industry and parallel industries that have an effect on the cost, delivery and quality of product
- monthly inventory / demand reporting
- on-call responsibilities
Core Skills: - Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- University Degree – Commerce, Accounting, Supply Management or Business Administration Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- minimum ten years experience in petroleum industry with direct experience energy tubular products
- Strong IT skills; preferably in JDE / SAP / Oracle, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- ability to work in a fast-paced “team” environment
- excellent organizational and time-management skills
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
