Our client is an international Multi-Disciplinary Engineering Consulting company, with an impressive record of delivering world class projects. They are currently looking for Engineers with experience in highway, bridge, and municipal design, planning, and construction to help grow their Calgary ofiice. Due to an influx of project work, our client has mulltiple permanent or contract positions available immediately. Key Responsibilities: - Design of municipal and rural / urban transportation projects
- Evaluation, selection and application of standard techniques and procedures
- Report writing; plan development, preparation of specifications and estimates
- Leading medium to large projects
- Contributing to the success of the Department and Projects by recruiting, developing and mentoring junior staff members
- Building and managing successful relationships with clients, and business development
Core Skills: - BSc in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Transportation or other pertinent specialization
- Minimum of 5 years applicable experience designing highway and municipal transportation projects
- Knowledge and experience with Alberta Ministry of Transportation guidelines, and municipal design criteria and specifications.
- Project management and task management experience
- Preparation of and management of budgets as well as schedules
- Knowledge of Land Development Desktop (LDD), Civil 3D, Microstation, CAiCE or other design software is desirable
